Rosemary Beach is a neo-traditional town located on northwest Florida's gulf coast, between Panama City and Destin, at the eastern end of Scenic Route 30A. It is truly one of the most charming places I have every visited, a precious little village where everything is in walking distance and their are boardwalks throughout the entire town to lead you to your destination.
Beautiful courtyards and green areas abound at Rosemary. Every home has its own unique style that contributes to the town complete. In 1995, Rosemary Beach was born. It was founded on New Urbanism and Traditional Neighborhood Development principles and inspired by other classic beach towns. The 107-acre town was designed to build community, have vibrant neighborhoods and convenience for its residents.
Each house is developed to take advantage of the outdoors, most have wrap around porches and outdoor living spaces.
Green spaces like these can be used by anyone living or staying in Rosemary Beach on vacation.
The beaches on the gulf coast are like sugar under your toes, white and pristine. The water is crystal clear turquoise blue, a setting that is spectacular.
The architecture of Rosemary Beach resembles a mixture of St. Augustine, the West Indies, New Orleans and Charleston. A rich palette of colors in subtle, natural tones gives each house its own unique style but is still woven into the overall fabric of Rosemary Beach.
Materials used in the majority of the homes in Rosemary Beach are wood siding, cedar shingle or stucco with metal or shingle shake roofing. High ceilings and deep eaves provide dramatic style and silhouettes unqiue to Rosemary.
Downtown Rosemary is home to fabulous shops and restaurants all accessible by foot or bike. Auto traffic is discouraged creating a neighborhood feel.
