Gwen Driscoll DesignsGwen Driscoll Designs has been hard at work on many exciting projects. I thought I'd share a really special one with you. We finished this project several months ago and have been tweaking things along the way.
Gwen Driscoll DesignsMy client is an absolute precious soul and I love her to death! She has a heart of gold, a great inspiration, an open mind always, a trooper (renovations are always the hardest projects) and just a ton of fun. After two years of hard work, we are wrapping things up and I could not be more pleased with the results.
Gwen Driscoll DesignsThis very special house is a perfect fit for the sophsticated Southern belle who resides here. Her style is dramatic with a sense of serenity that permeates all spaces. This project has a beautiful collection of Asian antiques and objects, as well as, a phenomenal art collection (a few new additions) that we have enhanced with decorative objects.
Gwen Driscoll DesignsThe neutral palette for the entire house is white, cream, taupe, dark mink brown, grey from charcoal to silvery tones and black. The only color that resides here is rusty reds that compliment the neutrals.
Gwen Driscoll DesignsWe had these beautiful wood grilles custom made for the spaces flanking the fireplace. They provide a visual divide between the Dining Room and Living Room but still let the two rooms function together.
Gwen Driscoll DesignsThis entire project started with renovating the kitchen. We concepted a kitchen that was beautiful but still functional. This pot rack was custom made and I've never seen All Clad pots sparkle quite like these do. It truly is like a "chandelier" in the kitchen.
Gwen Driscoll DesignsThese beautiful hallways run in front and behind the Living Room and Dining Room spaces. Again, providing an open feel with a dramatic sense of style.
Gwen Driscoll DesignsEvery project I work on is a collaborative effort with my client and the Gwen Driscoll design team. Our client showed us a picture of a table she liked with glass and iron which inspired this bar design. So unfortunate this picture doesn't show the space in the bar where a vase slides vertically between the two bottom shelves. It is beautiful when filled with something tall and green.
Gwen Driscoll DesignsThe library is lacquered a beautiful rich black. It looks like mirror in an up-close and personal view. It is a cozy, yet sophisticated room used to relax in every way.
