A Special Brand of Magic
I'm asked at least once a day, "Where did you find that?" and my reply is always, "From one of our valued resources".  Two of the keys to top-knotch design is research and sources.  Building a mega-watt resource infrastructure that spans the globe isn't easy.  All resources aren't created equal.  It's only with a keen eye, lots of fact finding and vetting that this resource foundation exists.  And, that, my friends, is what creates a special brand of magic.
With every project, I start with the architecture, house history and the people who will call a dwelling home.  My job is to create an extraordinary story that has my client's fingerprints all over it.  A story that weaves the history, energy, style and special touches that each person contributes.  This is what creates a masterpiece: a home that exudes warmth and special quality that calls those that reside there home and guests longing for another invitation.
Here are some items being placed in projects I've been working on of late.  Without that mega-watt resource guide, these beautiful pieces wouldn't be possible.  Enjoy!Polished Nickel Double Arm SconceI love these silver stunners.  Aren't they beautiful?  Perfect for a classic Entrance Hall. Veneto, Neoclassical Walnut Scantonata Credenza, Italy, Mid 19th CenturyI love the silhouette and wood of this ravishing antique.  Truly, antiques are one of my favorite shopping items.Pair Art Deco Leather Chairs, France, Early 20th CenturyThese are for a handsome office: every man deserves a pair of beautiful leather chairs.  The patina is untouchable.Baltimore Bench, 19th CenturyAnother sculptural piece that I love.  It's perfect for the foot of a bed.  Can't you see a beautiful silk cushion on it?  Any lovely color will do.Gunmetal and Gilt Bronze SconceSimply perfect.  The austere quality here is what I love most.  These are going in a Powder Room but I could see them just about anywhere.Neoclassical Cylinder Desk, Germany, 19th CenturyThis piece is divine.  The intricate work here is truly amazing.  I love it.Gilded Bronze and Crystal SconceThese dazzling beauties will be wonderful in a Living Room that doubles as an Entrance Hall.Neoclassical Petite Inlaid Commode, Italy, Circa 1790This charming piece of furniture will be perfect in a Master Bedroom.  Now to find the amazing lamp we need to accompany it.Antique Carved Stone Sundial, France, Circa 1623Perfection for a  Sunroom.  Isn't it stunning?Late Georgian Period Mahogany and Greek Key Inlaid Sideboard, England, Early 19th CenturyThis refined sideboard is finding a new home in a client's Dining Room.  I can't wait to show you pictures once we install it.Neoclassical Walnut Desk with Red Leather Top, France, Circa 1880Sometimes the best pieces have the simplest of features.  Here is beautiful wood, aged red leather and classic detail.  What more do you need for that handsome office mentioned above?Which is your favorite?  I'd love to hear your thoughts.
