My Old Kentucky Home: Part I
Whew!  We're just home from our trip to Kentucky for Spring Break.  I embarked on a "solo" trip with two 9 year-olds who were ready to rumble from the minute we entered the car.  It was so very fun but what a long strange (in a good way) trip it's been! Our first stop was Lexington and Georgetown to visit friends.  For those of you who know me, it's no secret how much I love the bluegrass state.  It's all about thoroughbreds, basketball, bourbon, bluegrass music, art, the great outdoors: a place of state pride that will make your knees go weak.  I promise you will meet the nicest people EVER which is why I continue to return year after year.An object of pure beauty.A place of peace and harmony. An alma mater that brings great memories to mind every time I drift there.A basketball program that continues to deliver year after year.  You can count us down but never out! Many, many whose blood runs blue.A little nip just warms the heart and soul.Friends that open their beautiful home regularly to welcome us.Children who love to play together time and time again.A place to breath fresh, clean air that clears your mind and spirit.A girl's party that will be remembered for years to come.A beautiful night at dusk that was so much fun.A wonderful night with friends and extended family that treat us as their own.A comfy, warm bed to have sweet dreams all the night long.A wonderful dinner party with old and new friends, memories to be cherished forever and always.
And, this was just the first half.  Stay tuned for part II.
We'll talk soon.
